Our Approach

IV Therapy at Shine Clinic

IV therapy at Shine Clinic is provided as part of a structured clinical process. All treatments are administered by a registered health practitioner and overseen by a registered medical practitioner. Treatment is only provided where clinically appropriate following individual assessment.

Pre-Treatment Assessment

Before any IV therapy, a thorough clinical assessment is conducted. This includes reviewing your health history, current medications, any known allergies, and your individual health goals. IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone — suitability is confirmed at assessment. A consultation with a registered health practitioner is required prior to treatment.

Individualised Clinical Plan

Following assessment, a clinical plan is developed based on your individual health profile and clinical needs. Formulations are determined by your practitioner based on clinical indication — not selected from a standard menu. In accordance with TGA regulations, specific product names and formulation ingredients are not advertised and are discussed privately at your consultation.

Administration in a Clinical Setting

IV infusions are administered intravenously by a registered health practitioner in a supervised clinical environment at our Eastwood clinic. The administration process typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the formulation and individual factors discussed at your assessment.

Potential Risks & Follow-Up

As with all clinical procedures, IV therapy carries potential risks. These may include bruising or discomfort at the cannula site, allergic reaction, vein irritation, and in rare cases, fluid or electrolyte imbalance. All risks and side effects are discussed with you prior to treatment. A follow-up review is scheduled where clinically indicated.
